Center Parcs Sherwood Forest

Our Lodge 312 was perfectly clean on arrival, cosy, private and well located to get to the village centre. The pool and changing rooms were clean and the lifeguards were regularly checking that everyone was safe in the pool and slides. The indoor pool could have done with being warmer. Give field archery a go, good fun and thanks to our host Harvey for a good safety briefing and enjoyable experience. We enjoyed both the sports bar and dozing duck £7.25 a pint. Highly recommend Aqua Sana great facilities pool and rooms were hot, great way to relax after being battered in the water rapids. There is building work going on, however it wasn't disruptive, the work men were polite and happy to give us right of way when driving to park our car. It's good to see investment is being put back into the site.

We had a great family break at Center Parcs Sherwood. There are so many family activities to choose from to suit everyone. As a family we enjoyed just cycling around, but the tropical pool, fantastic water slides and river rapids were our highlight. We loved the interactive squash wall and padel tennis and our boys really enjoyed the tag challenge and shuffleboard. Also enjoyed playing short tennis, football fun factory, and American pool, too. Recommend the Dozing Duck for lunch and Bella Italia for dinner or take away. Beautiful forest, clean facilities and the service was excellent.

If you can survive the nightmare of getting in and out of the place (during check in / parking up and leaving) then you’re in for a family friendly treat. I think it’s a given that’s it’s expensive, but you know what you’re getting and the pool / slides are worth it for a fun packed weekend. We took our own bikes to get around and the rule of parking up and leaving your car works to offer a mainly safe environment for the kids to ride around and have fun. The shops and food are obvs quite expensive, but not unreasonable, after all you can and should take your own food and drinks. It’s massive, so if you haven’t been for a while then prepare to get lost or spend time getting your bearings - it really is an ideal weekend retreat. Despite it being busy, it’s never a problem getting around and doing whatever you want, just book in advance for the activities. The staff are helpful and we always felt safe, with plenty of lifeguards and attendants on hand. The chalets are a bit dated, but comfy and mostly clean. Having the wildlife outside the door is a treat, we even had a visit from a small mouse! We enjoyed family getaway and despite the weather it’s great. I don’t think we would stump up for school holiday prices, but a weekend away is reasonable. Some of the usual things are a bit pricey (shuffleboard £35 an hour is steep) but the bowling etc is usually ok. If you fancied a wonder out, then the nearby pub Rose Cottage serves a wonderful pub lunch (10 min by walking).

Highly recommend going. Definitely book the spa, so many different rooms to explore. We had so much fun taking our family here and cant wait to come back again. We booked into multiple activities, all ran smoothly and on time. Pool area was amazing, kids loved it. 100% recommend!

The best weekend away we've had in a long time. The Aqua Sana is incredible, clean and a very relaxing experience. The swimming dome was busy but great fun as always. Every member of staff was so friendly and chatty. As a vegan, I've been spoilt for choice in every restaurant. It is expensive but absolutely worth it, we've already booked to come back in 2027.

Haven't been since our kids were little, but far better than we remembered. All the staff were bright and friendly, lodges seemed brighter and cleaner. Bedding was fresh and food in the two restaurants we went to was superb, where as the last time we went we remembered it as being a pale reflection of their high street siblings. Overall a fantastic experience that we all loved.

Fabulous week just had. Pool and facilities were great, as were the choices of shops. Prices are a little steep which can be saddening. Did the wooden painting workshop which was lovely BUT, they don't provide anything to take it home in... water based paints and a rainy winter day is not great, especially when on a wheelchair

Two of us went for a spa experience - brunch and 4 hours in the spa. It was perfect! The brunch was lush, especially my vegan version which included the best croissant I've had outside of France. The facilities were great - although it was busy there was plenty of room in the various saunas and steam rooms. We loved the treetop sauna particularly, such amazing views. The changing area was clean and we'll stocked - it was great being able to get an extra robe and extra towels without any hassle. All in all a relaxing, reinvigorating experience.
